Mick Schumacher has made a quick return to the world of motorsport following his shock Formula 1 departure. The German opted to leave Mercedes this week having spent the last two seasons as the team's reserve driver, providing back-up to Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

The 25-year-old German, son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, was dropped by Haas at the end of the 2022 season but in the two years since has been an understudy for George Russell and Lewis Hamilton at the Silver Arrows.
