Thiruvananthapuram: In a devastating event, five MBBS students from TD Medical College Vandanam, Alappuzha, perished when their car crashed into a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus on Monday night.

In Alappuzha's Kalarcode, the CCTV footage of the accident revealed that the car, traveling at high speed on a rainy night, lost control and collided with the bus before being crushed beneath it.

Due to the impact of the collision, the car was completely damaged and the occupants inside were taken out after breaking open the vehicle, police sources said.
