The Mahayuti alliance, consisting of the BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar's NCP, faced internal disagreements while forming the government after winning the Maharashtra assembly elections.

Discordant voices emerged on Sunday from the Mahayuti even as the alliance continued to remain in the throes of government formation more than week after it swept the Maharashtra assembly polls.

The Mahayuti alliance saw internal discord emerge as Shiv Sena MLA blamed the inclusion of NCP for reduced seats in its quota while NCP advised Patil to refrain from provocative remarks.
