Jaden Akins will leave Michigan State basketball as a Big Ten champ. But the senior isn't satisfied and wants more hardware for the Spartans in March.

Michigan State senior guard Jaden Akins received two All-Big Ten awards on Tuesday -- Third Team and All-Defensive Team. Akins had to step into a new role this season, one that carried a lot of responsibility with him being the longest-tenured Spartan.

The timing was ideal as standout freshman Jase Richardson, who has been carrying the load offensively lately, spent the final 14:38 of the first half on the bench with two fouls. Tre Holloman also had a poor shooting night while missing all six of his triples.
