Eighty-two Walmart Neighborhood Market employees in Huntsville have been recently notified that they'll be laid off.

The Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) has 158 planned layoffs on the way in Alabama. The layoffs would start Jan. 17 in Huntsville, according to the Alabama Department of Commerce’s WARN List. This is the second round of layoffs reported by Boeing for Huntsville employees. The other round affected 128 employees this summer.

The closing of a Walmart in north Alabama later this month will affect 80 employees. According to a recent WARN notice posted by the Alabama Department of Commerce, Walmart will close a store on Oakwood Avenue in Huntsville.
