The Hall of Fame Game has been held annually since 1962 and marks the arrival of the NFL preseason. It's a game that doesn't count toward either participants' preseason records, and teams are typically chosen based on the connection they have with the incoming Pro Football Hall of Fame class, which is also enshrined on the week of the action.

Eric Allen, known for his exceptional career as a cornerback, is being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

For me, and baseball lovers from Philly just like me, Allen was life-altering. After a nearly 50-year wait, he was immortalized in the Hall.
