Indiana Conservation Officers said they are investigating an incident that claimed the life of a Greencastle man after his golf cart broke through the ice of Glenn Flint Lake. According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR),

A 60-year-old man is dead after driving his golf cart onto a lake and falling through the ice. Jeffrey Nowak of Greencastle was pulled from the water by first responders and rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a Greencastle man on Glenn Flint Lake. Shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, emergency crews responded to a water rescue where a golf cart had fallen through the ice.

GREENCASTLE — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident that claimed the life of a Greencastle man on Glenn Flint Lake in Putnam County early Sunday morning.     At 12:46 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the lake for water rescue after it was reported a golf cart broke through the ice.
