Slack platform outage left users unable to use the collaboration messaging app, throwing a wrench in the work day.

If your Slack workspace isn’t working today, you’re not alone. An hourslong Slack outage affected users across the country Wednesday, beginning around 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time — undoubtedly putting a damper on the 700 million messages sent daily using the platform.

Slack first reported the outage at 7:27 a.m. Wednesday, as it said it's "investigating reports of trouble connecting or loading" the workflow app.
