"I respect those guys a lot. I'm happy how they doing up here. I'm proud of them. I'm ready to go to war for them."

While Campbell and Glenn were position coaches in New Orleans, working with the tight ends and safeties respectively, Alexander was able to gain an appreciation for both coaches. In particular, he was able to grasp the methods that have since made Glenn one of the NFL's most highly coveted head coaching candidates for the future.

Dan Campbell knows the Lions have a lot of injuries on defense. He gave his outlook on the situation. "Worry about it, and moaning about it, and [expletive] about it... what does it matter?" he said.

" ... it just gives us options now which is great and we’re going to play the best players. Whoever can help us is going.”

Defensive ends Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport are both believed to be out for the season, along with linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez and Derrick Barnes. Fellow linebacker Alex Anzalone is sidelined with a broken forearm as well.
