Former Auburn forward Chaney Johnson has signed a two-way deal with the Brooklyn Nets, the team announced via social media on Friday. Johnson marks the fifth former Tiger who is currently riding a two-way pact, joining Dylan Cardwell (Kings), Johni Brome (76ers), Sharife Cooper (Wizards), and Miles Kelly (Mavericks).

A prep standout at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Johnson won the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year Award for the 2022-23 season at Alabama Huntsville. Johnson played 73 games across two seasons at Auburn. In the Tigers’ 2024-25 Final Four campaign, he averaged 9.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
