SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The San Francisco 49ers activated second-year receiver Ricky Pearsall from the physically unable to perform list and he practiced for the first time this summer. Niners quarterback Brock Purdy was also back at practice Sunday after missing a session on Friday for personal reasons.

As expected, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will return to practice Sunday morning after missing Friday's session for personal reasons. Players had Saturday off, and the team fully anticipated Purdy's return following the break.

The 49ers welcomed Ricky Pearsall back to practice on Sunday. The second-year wide receiver, who was activated off the PUP list after recovering from a hamstring injury, worked with the special-teams unit returning punts and with the offense during team drills.
