One of the teenagers convicted of the murder of 16-year-old Brianna Ghey has lost his bid to reduce the length of his sentence. Lawyers for Eddie Ratcliffe, who was 15 at the time of the killing but is now 17, asked for the length of his sentence to be reduced, claiming the judge had failed to take into account his “lack of maturity”.

EDDIE Ratcliffe – convicted of killing Brianna Ghey – has failed in his bid to appeal the length of his murder sentence. He is one of two teenagers convicted of the murder of 16-year-old Brianna in Culcheth Linear Park in February last year.
