German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said on Thursday that a regular gathering of allies aimed at speeding up and synchronising arms deliveries to Ukraine was best kept under U.S. leadership, with an eye to the new Trump administration.

Ukraine’s Defence Minister Rustem Umierov has stated that the next meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein Group, has already been agreed upon and will take place in February.

Plans to support Ukraine for the next two years across eight key areas, agreed upon with Kyiv, are set to be approved at the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting, also known as the Ramstein format, on 9 January.

According to Umerov, Kyiv wants the United States to "remain and strengthen its presence" during future Ramstein meetings. “We have already noted that we are planning the next Ramstein meeting for February,

The next meeting in the Ramstein format may take place as early as February. Partner countries have already agreed on this meeting, announces Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, according to Radio Svoboda.
