The head of Canada’s opposition has called for Justin Trudeau to be fired for saying his government would abide by an international arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister.

After the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House denounced the court. But top U.S. allies including Britain and Ireland made clear that they aren't following suit.

The United States, like Israel, is not a party to the ICC, and has condemned the warrants against Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) leading economies are trying to reach a common position on the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at their two-day meeting in Italy.

"We are one of the founding members of the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice. We will abide by all the regulations of the international court," he said.
