A Texas woman remains behind bars after authorities found more than 71 pounds of marijuana in her luggage at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia. According to the United States Customs and Border Protection,

This arrest is part of a growing trend of marijuana smuggling to Europe, where travelers are trying to take advantage of the significantly higher prices.

The Dulles Customers and Border Protection (CBP) found 71 pounds of marijuana in a woman's airport luggage on Nov. 22.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on Monday that officers arrested a Texas woman after they found over 71 lbs of marijuana in her baggage at the Dulles International Airport. According to the CBP,

A Texas woman faces felony drug charges after police said they found more than 70 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags in her luggage bound for London from Washington Dulles International Airport.

The drugs have a street value of up to $330,000 in the US and two to three times as much in London, according to Customs and Border Protection. She was thwarted when customs officers checked the suitcases before they were loaded onto the plane.
