Headed to the injured list is right-handed relief pitcher Luke Weaver, who tweaked his hamstring while warming up in the bullpen on Sunday and was unable to pitch. Weaver was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and is expected to miss four to six weeks of action.

The Yankees started their homestand with a flurry of roster moves on Tuesday. The most notable saw closer Luke Weaver land on the 15-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

To make room on the roster for the three above players, closer Luke Weaver was placed on the IL due to a hamstring injury, Jorbit Vivas was optioned to Triple-A, and Carlos Carrasco was designated for assignment.
